i was walking along the hallway to my room the other day and i noticed a bulletin board. it has ALWAYS been there, but i have NEVER stopped to pay attention to it. never read it, lol. so today since i was in a pretty decent mood and having a good day, i decided to take a few minutes to stop and read what the board had to say. i guess that they are all throughout the dorm and each R.A. is in charge of them and they are supposed to be encouraging or Godly. heres what the one on my hall said:
THIS IS THE TRUTH
If you turn things upside down,
You can’t hope for your life to change,
I would be lying to you if I said that
You have a great future ahead,
That you can recover from your past mistakes,
That your life could be filled with joy,
And more than anything you must know,
Human beings cannot accomplish these things,
And I’m convinced of this because I know you,
All you are capable is failure,
You have made a complete mess of your life,
And I refuse to believe under any circumstances,
That you can turn things around in the coming years,
You may think your life is bad now, but there is more to come
You only have one destiny, and this is what is real.

at first, i was like what in the world! how is this supposed to be encouraging!? but then, God really spoke to me! this made me feel so much better than i already had been. to know that my life could be filled with joy, and i can recover from my past mistakes and have a great future.
