the tongue is a fire. it corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire.
i was not quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to anger. instead, i allowed my tongue to be a wildfire. as a result, this fire burned the foundations of my “house” that had been built up over the course of a few years. what was once a strong foundation was destroyed by the fire all too quickly.
i look on at the “house” that once was in disbelief. is the price to “repair the foundation” too high? would the cost of labor and the amount of effort that must be put forth be worth it? or would it be “cheaper” to just build a new “house”?
